Countertops


All Countertop Materials on Display in Both Stores


Laminates: Formica, Wilson Art, Pionite, Nevmar

 

Laminate Edges: Standard Tricove, “D” Edge, Bulnose, Campfered, Wood Edges

 

Solid Surface: Corian, Meganite, Dovae, Surrell (Formica Product)– All with a full 10 Year Warranty

 

Silestone & Cambria: (90% real stone & 10% acrylic) Man-made stone products with specific color designs.  It is a dye lot matched product.

 

Molded Marble Countertops: Mainly Used for Bath Tops, Poured Acrylic Material

 


Finishes


Standard stained or natural with varnish top coat finish.

 

Pickled (Wide variety to choose from)

 

Glazed on stain or glazed on paint.

 

Painted white or other colors available.

 

Your Choice of 10 Wood Species
Select or Better Grade or Knotty

Oak & Ash: Very hard, open grained, open pored.  Grain pattern very prominent when stained but fairly quiet when natural.  Considered very hard and shock resistant, patina changes in 15-17 years.  Stains well.  Goes well with other open grained woods and painted wood.

Maple:
Very fine grained and small pored.  Grain pattern is very minor.  Very stable wood for shrinkage, very hard.  Color fairly light with oil based stains, and very light natural patina in 15-17 years.  Goes well with fine grained foods or painted.

Cherry: Very fine grained and small pored.  Very rich in color and appearance.  Wood fairly stable for shrinkage and warpage.  Hard with good shock absorbency.  Patina is completed within first 3-6 months.  Goes well with fined grained wood or painted.

Pine: Very soft with long fibers.  Lowest shock absorb rate in all wood wit the exception of butternut.  Goes well with fine grained wood or stained oak.

Alder:

Birch:

Hickory:


Walnut & Butternut: Very soft with low shock absorb rate.  Very rich, deep looking color in its natural state.  Grain very similar to walnut.  Patina develops fast, 3-6 months.  These woods tend to stand alone, but can be mixed with fine grained wood or painted.

  • If possible, design 2 layouts showing different ways of doing room.

  • Help with lighting suggestions.

  • Help with color coordination suggestions.

  • Help with countertop suggestions

  • Pull Out Specialty Hardware or new products on the market to make customer aware of what is available - price restraint may limit this service.
     

In home measurement - Measure and discuss layout requirements with builder.

At the time of the site measurement we will keep you posted on anything that needs to be modified.  If you are building a new home in the area, but live out of town this service is like having another set of eyes on your project.
